Boat excursion Riserva dello Zingaro

An exciting boat tour to discover the Zingaro and Scopello reserve in a small boat.

  • Program: Departure from San Vito lo Capo. The first stop of the tour will be the old trap of San Vito lo Capo, “Tonnara del Secco”. On site we will talk about the history of the trap and how the slaughter of bluefin tuna was carried out, an ancient fishing methodology; we will talk about the slaughter above all from a technical point of view. As a second stop we will visit the “Laghetto di Venere,” a glimpse of the mythological coast where the rocks assume animal shapes. We will tell about the legend linked to the formation of the lake, a legend also connected to the Castle of Venus in Erice. Afterwards we will pass by the white village of Calampiso, a village born on the cliff with a breathtaking cove and enter the Zingaro Reserve. We will talk about the socio-political birth of the reserve, flora, fauna, morphology of the rocks, museums near the coves and paths of the Reserve.We will visit all 7 coves of the Reserve and at the second we will make a stop for a swim of about 40 minutes where it will be It is possible to visit the Lovers’ Cave by swimming and snorkelling among schools of fish.We will continue the tour by visiting the remaining 5 coves of the Reserve and we will reach Scopello where Faraglioni and Tonnara are the backdrop to one of the most beautiful landscapes in Sicily. bathroom stop of about 40 minutes and aperitif on board offered by us with Pane Cunzato (with typical local products at km 0) and cold white wine, water and soft drinks.
